OK so u guys have to believe this me and my friend might do it again and ill try to get a pic of the speedo this time... K so we are coming home from the movies and my friend and I are in his jeep cherokee that has the 4.0 HO *keep in mind he legally cant even drive me yet haha* and his brother is behind us in his Grand Prix*3.8 litre* so we get on ths smooth stretch of road that is about 5 miles long and straight. So we start a likkle race... so the Grand Prix passes us when we r doin bout 85. ok so the speedo on teh jeep only goes to 85... so by this time the speedo needle is wrapped way around basicly pointing straight down and to the left. and dude the GRAND Prix limits out at 110 *govener* and dude we ffin passed the grand prix while it was doin 110 and we were in a jeep!! hha it was insane we were probably doin about 113... good thing we didnt crash!!

You are definetely insane. Any speed over 70 in a Jeep requires a driver with extra lrge cogliones and a malfunctioning brain.

I was thinking of a real Jeep Jeep, like the old 4 cylinder military type, before AMC and Chrysler started making them. Those things had the springs clamped above the axles and the gas tank inside under the driver seat.

i've personally experienced speeed similar to that in a 4.o litre cherokee, then my friend flipped it 7 times. luckily, we all walked away with minor bumps and bruises

i know that 4.0 is strong, but that jeep wasn't built to do that, BE CAREFULL

My Wrangler was never seen doing anything over 90, but even still for a little 4-banger Wrangler that is a big deal.

While I was stationed in North Carolina I drove my Jeep home to New Hamshire for a week of leave, somewhere just outside of NYC my transfer case locked up and my Dad had to come get me with his Silverado and a tow dolly. Since I did not have the time or money to get it repaired at home I had to rent a U-Haul and a vehicle trailer to get it back to NC. The truck I rented was a brand new Ford V10 box truck. I loaded up a few cardboard boxes from my parent's basement in the back and had my Jeep on the trailer. That truck had a 0-100 time that I could not believe! In hindsight I probably should not have been taking that kind of chance with the trailer on the back, but I got back to NC in record time.
