1980 oil pan problem

I have a big block in a 1980 camaro and i am wondering if i have to pull the engine or raise it to get the pan off. I have to replace the oil pump tomorrow morning and i need to know if you can help post a message i appreciate it. thank you

you can raise it but can be little dangerous

If you have a cherry picker I would raise it with that.
