I had a complete tune-up done on my 1986 Camaro that has been sitting in the driveway for five years. I was so hoping it would start right up, but it didn't. It tries hard to start, but the engine just won't quite make it. Any suggestions? Could it be the fuel injectors? Alternator?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums Dawn, I've run into this problem more times than I can count. Anytime a car sits for any length of time you gotta go through this, first, check all battery and starter connections. Sounds like a weak ground or battery make sure you have a good ground connection from engine to battery. Don't screw around with a battery thats been sitting for five years, it's done, just replace it. If that dose'nt fix it, pull the starter and have it checked. Good luck.

Sounds like it is turning over. Is the gas 5 years old as well? If so that may be your problem. Unscrew your air intake off your throttle body (or open your air filter housing on a carb, but you said you have injectors) and give it a good shot of starting fluid. If she starts to turn over, or runs for a few seconds there you go ( don/t try this after you have been turning it over for a time or it may be flooded with bad gas, let it sit for a day). If not I would make sure you have spark next, mice just love wires.
