350 vortec cam

i have a 350 vortec and i dont really know what kind of cam to put in it. i know i need a hydraulic roller but what duration, and other numbers would i have to know. also for the carb is a 750 to big. or what would be good.

Best bet, call a camshaft company such as Crane Cams or Comp Cams, tell them what you have and what you intend to do, and they will reccomend a good cam that will meet your needs, they can also give you directions on how big a carb you can get away with. The whole package needs to be matched for best performance. Displacement, heads, intake manifold and carburator, exhaust system, weight of car, transmission, rear end gearing, etc..
