I found a 69 camaro on the net with the letters X22D80 on the cowl tag.
Alot of people were discussing it and I was interested in knowing what it means? Can anyone help me out here?

Yep, it's on the cowl tag and not the vin tag. I have never seen any car with a set of numbers near like what im asking about on a vin tag?

It is a V8, Coupe, Blue interior, Glacier blue exterior, built the 1st week of july. It is an SS396 with a black rear panel (X22) with Air Spoiler Equipment (D80)

Kevin, it was the 'D80' part that through folks off, they werent expecting it to be directly after the 'X22' like that, this is why you were asked where exactly on the cowl tag it was.

Also, you might have gotten a quicker responce by asking in the 1st gen section. I dont usually check this section on a daily bassis or I would have gotten to it earlier, sorry.
