As most of you know, I have been posting alot of tranny questions. Now my 700R4 finally croaked.
I changed the tranny filter and fluid tonight. Took the car down the road to a gas station to make sure the fluid levels were ok because I live on a hill. On my way there and on the way back. The tranny is slipping so bad that I can barely make it up a hill now. The car acts like it is in neutral although it is in OD. The car wont make it anymore . So I am pretty much srewed. Because I now dont have a way to school. So yea..... 700R4's suck I hate them. But then again I am really hard on tranny's and cars period. But I need a car that can hold up to my driving but at the same time since im not always driving like a maniac ... I need something ruggid and economic on gas.

700R4 Auto sucks because you don't know how to drive.   So blame it on the transmission.

Sounds to me like you need a manual.
It may help to be a little more gentle on the car.

I have tried running lucas before in 2 vehicles actually and it tore them out faster..... We tried it in my moms 89 chevy caprice classic ( no it isnt dubbed thats just trashy looking , we got the car for a long luxury ride and thats all ) but it tore the tranny out faster in it. Then we tried it with my dads 84 blazer k5, which I know has a 700R4 in it . But it tore it out faster too. Im not sure what kinda tranny is in the caprice tho. Im going to try to fix up my moms caprice ... the reason I say fix up is because I wrecked it. Just a major fender bender. I went too fast around a curve and slung it into a ditch.
