I just bought a 71 roller. Its just a base model but i really like the looks of the split bumper rs models. Would it be a dumb idea to just use a split bumper set up on mine, or should i buy new metal and the plastic nose piece and actually swap everything to look like an rs. Does all the rs stuff fit between my fenders just the same. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I personally like the looks of the full bumper better but if you are determined to change it, do it right with all the parts, not just the bumpers. It can be done right but it is a lot more effort & expense.
FWIW, back when these were new people referred to the RS as the fish mouth.

its actually easy, its just the bumpers, and the header panel and valence panel, plus I think it LOOKS BETTER. you may have needed new sheetmetal up front anyway

Thanks guys. And don't get me wrong, i like the looks of both styles. These two are my all time favorite camaros. I just like the rs look a little better. That's what i was wondering if i could just bolt all the rs panels on the front of my car or if there was some difference that made them none swap-able. The metal on the front of my car isn't bad, but it's not that good either and so if i'm going to buy new sheet metal, i might as well buy what i like the best. I just wanted to some advice from those that know before i bought anything. thanks again
