I don't know how many guys or girls on here watch or used to watch wrestling, but today one of my favorites passed away, cops really don't know what went on but him, his son and wife were found dead in there Atlanta home, in different rooms...possible murder/suicide
I don't watch anymore but I was really surprised

Check out wwe.com, it has been ruled a double murder-suicide.
Edit: it hasen't been ruled anything yet, the police said they were treating it as a murder sucide and at this point they believe Chris killed his wife and son. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
Man, something must have really been messed up if he did this.

I heard that too, they believe it to be the results of steroids but havent gotten any results back from toxicology. Steroids killed Eddie, The British Bulldog and Mr Perfect as well so this one might be the results of roid rage.

something was wrong in his mind, I really think that he wanted more time with his family and in some deranged way he thought this was the way for them to all get out of it. I think this because there was a closed bible by both of them. They believe it was premeditated, because she was bound at her feet and strangled...then he killed his son later on that day...his boy i guess they were giving hormones for him to grow...I don't know I don't think WWE gave him the right treatment, probably one of those things were WWE didn't want to the media to know he was going crazy or something

i dont wanna step on any toes but... i see alot of "that doesnt sound like him" posts. can anyone here really make that claim? do we know what the real chris benoit was like? he could have been the most loving father and husband, but for all i know he could have been abusive. its just another tragic celebrity life story. ill wait for the facts to come out IF they ever get it figured out. We know only what we see on the tv, but after they are dead and gone we realize that their personal lives were just as obscure as the rest of ours. we dont know what he was like, or anyone in his family

Neighbors say he wasnt a rude man but wasnt outwardly warm, He also stole his wife persay from a rival wrestler when Nancy (the wife) and he were to have an "affair" but they fell in "love" she dumped her husband. BUT she had filed several abuse charges and ordered a restraining order against him in 2003, however those were dropped.... does anyone check msn.com?...

STAMFORD, Conn., June 26, 2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment is stunned and saddened by the details released by local authorities concerning the double homicide-suicide involving Chris Benoit, his wife, Nancy, and his son, Daniel.
However, WWE is concerned with the sensationalistic reporting and speculation being undertaken by some members of the media following the press conference held by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and the District Attorney. During the press conference, the investigating authorities made the following points, all of which run contrary to the media speculation that "roid rage" was a factor in the senseless murders and suicide:
1. The authorities stated that all drugs found in the house were believed to be legal prescriptions.
2. Steroids were not, and could not, be related to the cause of death (asphyxiation). Authorities had no factual basis to speculate as to Benoit’s state of mind, and rightly did not do so.
3. Toxicology tests have not even been completed, so there is no current evidence that Benoit even had steroids or any other substance in his body. In that regard, on the last test done on Benoit by WWE's independently administered drug testing program, done on April 10, 2007, Benoit tested negative.
4. The physical findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation, not rage. The wife's feet and hands were bound and she was asphyxiated, not beaten to death. By the account of the authorities, there were substantial periods of time between the death of the wife and the death of the son, again suggesting deliberate thought, not rage. The presence of a Bible by each is also not an act of rage.
5. WWE strongly suggests that it is entirely wrong for speculators to suggest that steroids had anything to do with these senseless acts, especially when the authorities plainly stated there is no evidence that Benoit had steroids in his body, pending the toxicological reports, and that they had no evidence at this time as to the motive for these acts.
WWE is continuing to monitor the ongoing investigation being conducted by local authorities.

Yeah, I talked to my dad who is in Law Enforcement, and was a body builder for a long time and worked out with guys who did steroids, his opinion was that what ever he did wasnt because of the steroids, there had to be something else wrong with his mind. Steroids will make you act strangely but wont make you lose inhabition and kill your family. "Roid rage" is more of a temper tantrum (no clue how to spell that) and they just act like over grown babies, they dont go on murderous rampages.

"Chris Benoit may have been so depressed that he believed his family would be "better off in heaven" when he allegedly murdered his wife and son before killing himself, says an expert on murder-suicide. "
