Need a little help with my 2000 camaro ss. My clutch pedal doesn't always release all the way. Pedal doesn't always come out all of the way, sometimes car tries to take off with pedal all the way in, sometimes can't get it in gear. Had a new pressure plate, throw out bearing and slave cylinder put in at dealer (new around here) worked for 20 miles and failed. Got any ideas?

Maybe the slave cylinder wasn't bled right. Was the clutch replaced? That sounds like the pressure plate isn't clamping right. Maybe they didn't grease the throw out bearing? If it was done by the dealer, take it back under warrenty and b*tch slap them!

not so good at this forum thing, sorry. had a new clutch put in - everything felt really good until I brought it home and shut it off. started to take off again, backed out and started up the hill. lost everything my first shift. had to pull out the clutch pedal to get it back into gear to turn around to get home.

It's most likely a fluid pressure problem. You may have a leak in the slave cylinder or anywhere to the t/o bearing in the lines.

Thanks for all the help...had the master cylinder line bled, so far so good. I'll let you know how it works out.
