Quick question. I have the 1986 camaro service book...but it tells me absolutely nothing. My temperature gage does not move off of 40 degrees it stays there regardless of how hot the engine is. So my question is does this gage get its signal from the coolant temp sensor located at the front of the engine under the alternator with the yellow and black wires.. or is there a different sender/sensor altogether. im thinking that the one under the alt is the one strictly for the ECM, controlling the coolant fan and fuel ... not for the gauge... anyone know where this other sender might be IF it exists?

There is a separate sending unit for the temp gage, on front of left cylinder head, with a single green wire.

Epoxy glue will hold it, only problem is that it acts as an insulator. LOL
