Hi, new to this forum and also to american cars. I have bought my first yank, a 91 camaro 3.2 V6 RS. I have had it for 4 months with no issues, last week I started her up on the button and then moved the wifes car out of the way. Engine then cut out having been on tickover for about 3-4 minutes (I had not touched the gas pedal). Engine will turn but not fire. I can hear the fuel pump priming the system and all the correct lights come on. Have tried a booster on the battery and still no life. Can anyone point me in the direction of parts to be checking??
Half a tank of fuel so can't see it being that.
It did have a strange missfire a couple of days previous but seemed to clear itself?

Any help would be gratefully received

Check for spark first.

Haha!  Ignition Coil pack.  See if it shorted, and check for spark.  Fixed a friend's S-10 that had that prob.
Damn coil pack likes to burn out if there is a lot of condensation in the engine.  Also, check the distributor cap and button for cracks and wear.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies! Unfortunately since I posted the question I have been ill and so not been able to get out and tinker (until today). Run the diagnostic check shorting out the A & B posts on the underdash connector and it told me nothing :(
I did suspect the coil pack as this is an identical problem that i had with my mondeo. Where's the best place to obtain parts for this car (I am in Bucks). I don't mind mail order but prefer to deal direct.
I have a mate coming round in the week to help check for spark etc so hopefully will resolve the problem??
