I have a convertible 1991 camero and i am wondering is it a car that would be good for racing(not professional or anything just in like a general sense) or should i try to find a hard top? i no that the problem with crashing is more deadly but i just wanted to know if there is something different from the hard tops.
Thanks for your answers

I know that it makes an uneven airflow which effects aerodynamics.

the convertibles are horrible for racing, unless you put in a cage. and thats not a safety stand point either. the convertible cars cant handle more than 220 hp (stock 305 tpi engine). the stock 350 tpi was too much power for them and would twist the body. the only thing to strengthen it would be subframe connectors and at least a 6 point cage.
