Has anyone ever heard of R1 Concepts before? I was looking for drilled and slotted rotors for a 98-02 Camaro when I found this place. They have sets of 4 brand new rotors for only $125. I'm not too sure about the reputation of this company and their product, but if anyone has, I would appreciate any information. In this instance the phrase "you get what you pay for" may take full effect.

I checked them out and they look like good rotors..Theyre Zinc plated so they wont rust and I believe it also comes with performance brake pads (kevlar). Cross Drilled / Slotted Rotors Really do help. Less sliding on wet pavement. Ten times more stopping power. Keeps the brakes cooler and they Look nice as well.

Thanks for the replies guys. On the website it even says they have a 90 day warranty, and guarantee against cracking. Once you try out those rotors shnormo, I would appreciate your opinion of them. Thanks once again.

It's cool, you can contact them on AIM or Yahoo messenger at R1concepts. The reason they haven't haven't been shipped yet is because they are currently getting zinc plated!

retail price for the rotors $75/each
I got them for $30/each
SSBC Calipers I paid $430 after tax
Russell Stainless Steel Brake Lines $101

Price for the truck lol
$156 shipped for the two rotors and pads with bearing races installed.
Now the bearings and the seals $86 for the set

The Camaro's brakes are so much stiffer with all those mods.

Shnormo, that's some SERIOUS braking you got there! In addition to all my other shortcomings, I've now got brake envy! LOL

Really would like to see a pic of those R1 Concept rotors. Hopefully the guy in the Big Brown Truck will be kind to you soon.

DUDE THESE BRAKES ARE THE ****!!! With the G-Stop brake lines and the new pads and the R1 Rotors, this baby stops like it was an Evo ! Very responsive and you can feel the brakes a lot more. There is less ware on the rotors also.

Has anyone used these long-term?

Drilled rotors have a habit of warping and cracking prematurely (notice they only offer a 90-day warranty against that), especially when slotted as well (less material/mass). They're great for performance, but I tend to stay away from them unless they're for track duty.

At $125/pop, it's not like they're expensive to replace, but I'd like to hear some long-term results on these.

Keep us updated! Thanks!

So far I have 3,000 miles on them and they are holding strong.  The pads are really soft though and are waring faster than I like.  I went ahead and just threw them out and put Bendix pads on them and they stop better.

I'm thinking I'll get those rotors too and get ceramic brake pads.  First I have to get a car to put them on though.

yeah a car would definately help...  I'd go with Hawk green stuff if I had to do it again.

I got rotors from www.cquence.net. for 175.00.  They also offer a 120 day warranty.  So far they working great!  I would recommend these.
