I'm taking the car to the dyno tomorrow. Two reasons: One, just for the hell of it. Two, it'll give Specter something to do in his horsepower thread. Feel free to guess if you'd like. Winner gets a free beer if I ever find myself that way, or you find yourself near me in Texas. Mods in sig. Only adjustments in HPTuners program affecting power, were that I advanced the timing a bit.

i dont know much about how mods effect a car so ill throw out an optimistic 235hp w/ maybe 245 lbs/tq

The catback is not bad, though right now I don't have the tips on. That causes alot of resonance in the cab at certain rpms. The one I bought was for the 94-95 LT1. I bought it under the v6 section  on ftpp.net but that is the one they sell. Where it hooks up is better than the way the v6 one looks like on edelbrocks site.

212 rwhp and 223 torque.

Before I post these ****-awful numbers, is there any reason for 18 hp 22ft/lb tq increase from the first to second run? They were done back to back, nothing changed. I'm not sure this dyno sheet is that accurate as only sections from the run are on it (not one continuous line for each run), and RPM read out on the bottom reads from 7500 rpm to 10000 rpm. I didn't feel like talking to them about what's f'ed up, but I'm going back tomorrow to ask them about it. I'll try and put up a picture to show you what I'm talking about. I'm a bit embarrassed to put this up, but I do believe it's f'ed up. 1st run is says max power 151.60 hp 98.96 ft/lbs tq. First fun on the graph only shows a section for about 250 rpms (peak numbers from that section). Second run says 169.94 hp 120.48 ft/lbs tq. Second run has two sections (400 rpm each) one early in run, and one late in that run (peak numbers from those sections). It sounds confusing but in second I'll put the pic up.

sounds to me like it wasnt accurate.. you should be beating those numbers STOCK.. now throw in the mods you have should be well over 190hp i would say for sure

Yeah, I'm going to go talk to them tomorrow. Kind of hokie graph. Pretty sad when a V-tak probably makes more torque than what's on my sheet...

Ok, so after you were 500 RPM over red lining it did it start recording anything, and it went all the way to 10000 RPM.  That sounds totally wrong.  Those inconsistently plotted lines should have been a red flag for those people to know that they didn't do something right.  I hope those people can give you accurate dyno results, I'm dyin' to know.

Don't feel too bad. My daily driver, a Chrysler 300M Special 3.5L rated @ 255 HP only showed 180 HP on K&N's dyno.

dyno machines are not accurate.  They are usually too optimistic, but in this case, well just wrong.

Those torque numbers are impossible in your car, unless you have somthing seriously wrong.

This is why I like tracks, timeslips dont lie.  Go to a track, your trap speed will give you an idea of how much HP you have.  Alot more accurate than this dyno.

I would get your money back, or get another, more accurate pull.

Yeah, I'm going to talk to them tomorrow. Nothing on it seems right at all. Car redlines at 6400 not 10,000. Nothing's wrong with my car, as it pulls hard through all gears. I'll have to take it to the track someday, closest one is Ennis.
