ECU

i was doing a research for my term paper yesturday and i stumbled apon a site dedicated to helping people hack their ECUs to get more HP.. i've never even thought bout messing with my ecu to get more HP... is that possible? and do those performence chips really work that are like 15 bucks on ebay?... let me know ur insight, i might look into buying one

Hacking the ECU is also known as "tuning". When you start doing serios mods (ie heads, cam, strokers) you need to re-tune the ECU for the mods. Those cheap things on ebay are junk don't bother. The only real way to tune the ECU is with dedicated software and a lap top.
