EGR solenoid causing check engine lite on,will i be able to make a trip of 500miles widout any prob

Hey guys
i drive a 95 cmarao and each time i cross 50 miles/hr my check engine service sign lits up,i got it checked and the dealer said problem is with my EGR solenoid.my question is will i be able to make a trip of 500 miles widout any breakdown?

I learned from being in a shop that when someone asks the same kind of question you just did you always tell them no. There is a problem so you should fix it. I never tried to look into the future because if I did and it did not work out for them I would be the bad guy and get the blame.

MadMike is 100% correct, there is no telling when the solenoid will allow the EGR to stay in the wrong position and cause the car to run like crap.
