Im really bored so i figured id post some before and after pics of my engine painted, see if it gets any conversations going.

And why not orange?

Cars being painted black, i wanted it to match. and iv been told, don't know if it's actually true or not. You know how black absorbs heat, well supposably if you paint an engine black it pulls the heat from the internals out. i was told it makes a few degrees difference. but like  i said if its true or not, i got no idea.

Yeah, don't know bout the temp thing,but if the car is gona be black then don't you want that motor to stand out when you pop the hood?

nah it'll do its talking down the 1320. it's not being built to be a show car or nothing.

Yeah but there is time and money in that motor, you can go with red,black and red looks evil as hell

ya red was my second choice, its still masked off so who knows i might get a wild hair up my ass and decide to repaint it.

pucker up, don't want that hair issue, yeah,they really should have the chat room here. I would go red show that thing off. Even a huge 454 looks dead when it's black.

i also kinda had the idea, of painting the car silver with black racing stripes, making the engine bay silver, with the black engine. thought it might look tight.

Yeah I was going to ask if there were stripes ,to do it the same as the stripes.

depends on how much money ill have when it comes time to paint it.

Isn't a can of paint like 5 bucks? Are you using the spray cans or the other stuff.

what cam? head work done?

Thats been asked before. They heads are auctually just rebuilt heads. Nothing special... the specs on the cam.. im not so sure about. I'll have to dig into my paperwork.

have you put it in the car yet or is that bout to happen

it will prob. be another few weeks. im savein for my transmission. as soon as I get the money i'll be set
