What's the difference...exhaust???

Does anyone have a preference to Quarter Panel Exit Tailpipes or Straight Back Exit Tailpipes, this is on an 81 camaro? What is the difference in appearances...any photos to share?

I just have a couple of burned out 'bullet' header mufflers bolted on.
 
I put a stock exhaust on for like 2 weeks....then I ripped it all back off and put the 'bullets' back on....lost MANY MANY ponies.....

I've got an 80 tried side exit but, not enough clearance with 2 1/2" exhaust. I have Flowtech Afterburners dumped at the axle. Gained a few horses.

jegs sells a good true dual exhaust kit (header back) for the 81 camaro, it comes with all nessecary hardware to put it in and come with both of the mufflers, the part number is 555-30550, its a good starting point and you can just replace the mufflers with ones of you choice, i think i paid like $190 for the whole thing back when i purchased it, and i know people that have it also, all i've heard is great things on that specific kit.

Here's my brothers 79 RS coupe. My exhaust guy fabbed a 69 style turn down for it. 2.5 inch from the header back. Here's my 79 Z with the cheap backm yard side dumps.
