You're pluggin' away Scooch! The Holley Contender is a dual plane hi-rise similar to the original LT-1 intake. It has an RPM range of idle-7200. Fairly certain they don't make it anymore...maybe by design, but not by name? I would keep it.

thanks Blade, I think I'm gonna keep the contender intake so I can stay in the budget. It sounds like it'll be fine for my needs. appreciate the offer.

When I first read this I thought you actually stole it.  I have a bad story about stealing a car with a semi happy ending that lead to me owning a 78 Trans Am with a 6.6 liter in it...

A friend and me were in a town nearby joy riding in my Camaro about a month ago when we were off for Thanksgiving break.  We were out driving among the huge fields and there was a crushed house with a garage by it.  The house looked like it had burned down years ago.  I was joking when I said that the garage(seperate from the house)probably had some cool old car in it.  We stopped to check, the garage was locked in the front but the back door was open, so we went in and sure enough there was a red trans am in there with flat tires all around but a flawless interior and exterior.  We went to the courthouse to find out who's property it was and they told us the bank owned it.  Some widow lived there some years ago and died in the housefire and had no beneficieries.  We kind of glanced at each other and then told them we would just go check the bank.  Late that night, we went and got my dad's truck and his dad's trailer and went and stole it.  The title was in the glove compartment and everything.  The key was in the visor and I kept it because he wouldn't have been able to explain it to his parents.  I just told mine I bought the car a few towns over for about a thousand dollars from some old lady and they bought it.  I still feel really bad about taking it, but it would have just gone to the bank anyways right?  Now the car stays at home and is probably going to be driven mostly in the summer when I get some time to put a better cam in it and a good exhaust system.

Soyeah, that's my car steeling story.

Harrisburg, Arkansas.
I haven't previously taken pictures of it, but I might do it tomorrow when I get a chance after I was my car.

If you wanna see pictures of the place where I got it you're gonna have to wait til the next time I go on break.  It's an hour and a half drive from here and we only go when we're bored.

Stevo, what did you say the VIN number was? Is it really still stealing if you're stealing from a bank?  That's called Grand Theft Auto, any way you slice it pal! Taking something that doesn't belong to you...what do they call that again?? Oh yeah, STEALING! And admitted on the internet no less...smart one!!
Keep looking over your shoulder every time you take it out on the road. And wouldn't that be a pisser if you get stopped by a cop for any reason and they find that it's been reported as a stolen car? You have no idea if the bank had a record of it. It's quite possible they knew it was there and had the info documented. Tick...Tick...Tick!!!

plus forgery if he registered it in his name and a few other offenses.

I seriously doubt it's a real story. Who leaves a car in a garage with the pink slip and keys?

Old people.  My dad use to do it all the time when he had his 74 Galaxie 500.  Like I said, I'm not too worried about it.  It was several towns away in a small hick town with no law inforcement/etc.  The bank owned the property, not necisarily the car.

THIS IS AAAWWWESSSOMMME!!! I cant believe you just admitted to ripping off a car on this site or any site for that matter! That car belonged to the BANK along with any other items left on the property! Our family has experienced property theft in the past living in the Los Angeles area and it is a real bummer!  You are only 18 and you will most likely be tried as an adult. Hopefully CNN will pick up this story! I did feel bad at 1st for your parents, but after you disclosed the (apparent) crimes that your dad commited? While in business??
Call Jerry Springer or Americas Dummest Criminals, and make some tabloid cash NOW before ya spend the next few years behind the CLANKER! This is Great!!

Thanks MichiganMan, I really got a great car for a great price. Too bad my freaking thread is ruined now by this person who obviously really "stole" a car! I was gonna keep posting updated photos of my progress but now everyone who stops by is gonna reply about this idiot stealing a car. Thanks for your comment.

Hey Scooch, how's it going? Start a new thread. I feel bad that I also left my 2 cents regarding stevo182's (alleged)felony, but I just could'nt resist! Its not fun getting ripped off. I know! Anyway, as you can tell, were watching the progress of your 69' along with the great pics. Keep em' rollin'. Take care

Exactly....NOBODY does, except for maybe a bank who owns the property and everything on it, then sells it to someone and had it all arranged to get picked up. Who's going to miss a flawless collectible car anyway? SOMEBODY, that's who. That is definitely not an old lady car, and someone's out there looking for it.
