yea, it's a v6, but i still love it. got it 3 months ago for 3500. it has 173xxx miles, but still runs great, no oil burning at all. i just need to get the u-joint replaced, no big deal now.

it's a 96 model.  i wrecked it the second day i had it. spun it backwards into a creek.  it was sitting on it's back bumper, sticking straight up out of it.  it's funny how when you drive like you have sense, that's when you wreck.

That sucks dude sorry to hear that.  I thought you said you wrecked it the second day you had it but in your first comment it says that you have had it for 3 months.  I have a 96 and almost lost my ass end multiple times in the rain even with a 3.8, especially on blacktop.  I'm too stuborn to put on the 2nd gear start because I like whippin it but I guess I'm careful enough.  The thing I learned that if you want to have fun in the rain then on turns especially in that torquey first gear go light on the gas then once you straighten the car out then floor it (if you prefer to).  In my car my tires spin and ass end gets a little squirrly it's fun.

haha. i did. i went backwards into a creek.  but the thing was, i practially stopped it before going in, so it went in slowly, and just scratched my back bumper and i replaced the exhaust. there's a pic of the bumper. i had it pulled out of the creek, hung the pipes with a clothes hanger, and drove it to the garage that day.

Nice car, but I think you got ripped off with the price. I paid the same price for mine, but mine has 100,000 miles less than yours.

nice car, and where i live, (in hillbilly hell kentucky) it's hard to find a camaro. so i jumped at the oppurtunity. the dealer didn't know much about the car, it may have had some work done to the motor already and that could be why it runs so great now. who knows, doesnt matter.

That does suck about the creek, im glad its ok now though  My SS handles pretty good in the rain, but i also have Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.

What actually happened, a deer  jumped out in front of you or some sort of freak accident?

alright, no one believes me on this, they think i just lost the rear end around a curve while trying to show off. that's close, but not what happened. it had been raining the day before, the roads were completely dry though. but i stepped in a puddle in a parking lot, so my shoes were wet. i was heading home with my friend and was going to show him what the car had, seeing as how it was my second day of having it and it was still new to me. i go around a very tight curve going about 30, and i already have the shifter in 2nd, and i'm ready to dump the clutch and sort of drift out of it when my foot slipped off the clutch.(from the wet shoes of course). it was a second or so earlier from where i wanted to let off, and on these narrow roads, that made a big difference. it caught me off guard and i over-compensated when i slid, so it goes without saying that i spun the opposite way and did a 180 into the creek. i had it stopped at the end of the spin, then i felt the back tires drop off the bank, and there i went....cussing the whole way. believe it or not, that's how it happened. i know the whole wet shoe thing is stupid, but it's true. i was so mad because i'm usually cool in a tense situation, and i look back and i could've saved it, i've always fish-tailed coming out of that curve in other cars, but oh well.
