Ford GT on the Dyno...

I got chance to see a slightly modified GT on the dyno today and it was impressive..  I still like the z06 better though, but heres a bit of a story.  My friend passed by a local speed shop and told me the ford gt that is sometimes there was on the dyno, so we went down to see if we could get a look.  The guys were cool enough to let us check it out, and they told us some stuff it had, but i dont remember.  It had a diff. super charger, thats about all i remember.  Anyway, the guy gets it on the dyno and is in maybe 4th, maybe half throttle.  I already thought the exhaust was kinda loud.  Well, out of nowhere he floors it and the super charger starts screaming, and the exhaust is so loud I almost had to cover my ears.  I could literally feel the exhaust bouncing off the wall behind it.  Im sure that made it louder, but it was still loud.   When the results came, it got about 775 rwhp, and somewhere around 780 rwtq, and he said the last time he looked at the speedo it was around 190.  It was pretty impressive, ive got to say.  Even though I talk about the GT, I still love the Z06 more, incase you were wondering.  It makes me wonder just how powerful that Corvette SS will be.

I personally would not consider the GT and the Vette to be in the same category...but I'd take a Vette over a GT also

I dont really like calling it a Corvette SS, just because it doesnt seem like its a Chevy thing to just slap a supercharger on something and call it an SS.  Maybe is it was like the C6 or Z06, with its own name, but not SS.  Just putting a supercharger on something and calling it bad ass seems more like a Ford thing to me.. Hence the Cobra..
