I have been looking in classifieds and on ebay looking for a replacement subframe for my 69 camaro. I just picked my camaro up from the tranmission shop with a new clutch kit. I notice my subframe was in need of a replacement when the car was up on the lift. Another customer was checked out my camaro when I was at home. He left a business card for me to call. Come to find out a complete subframe to include all the steering items, upper and lower control arms, and with slotted brakes with braided lines awaits me. I pick it up today for $550.00 after inspecting it.

It is the only one he has. I called him again today to let hime know that I will be picking it up on friday. It is a factory subframe with all new hardware and disc brakes so it is said. I will keep you posted . I'm from the Ft.hood - Killeen area.
I live in the Killeen area too. I don't see many 69's around though. Which one is yours? I have the orange and white 68. If you see me around say hi

I drive the Fathom Green, with black top, and white hockey stripes down the side. . My buddy drives the Hugger Orange with white stripes. You are the only other 1st gen camaro that I have seen besides us. I saw you my last trip home driving past the cheverolet dealership. Very nice I must say. We just pulled my buddies engine out about a week ago. Its getting a total rebuild. He has already past the 5 grand mark on parts. I personally will be putting a crate motor in mine when the time comes. Mine runs fine for right now. I just replaced my radiator core support which was a pain in the a$$. Rusted bolts suck, but grinding took care of that.
