I need a new fuel pump sending unit for my 1983 cross fire injection, but they are not made anymore. I know you can use an Iroc Z fuel pump on them because the left throttle body regulates the fuel pressure so I have heard, but can you use a fuel pump sending unit for an Iroc Z as well or is there another sending unit that will work with the CFI? Please help

Have you looked at classic industries?

You may also be able to use the sending unit for the TBI. I would also imagine a sending unit from any of the fuel injected models as long as you use the correct pump that matches the PSI and GPH needs of the cross fire.

They should all fit in the tank properly and as long as its from a fuel injected car it should have the sending unit that has the electric pump holder. As to the fittings being correct I can not say.
The reason you can only find from 85-92 may be due to 85 being the first year of TPI (also MPI V6 and the exception of the TBI 4 bangers) and thats more common that CFI
