heat only through floor vents/defrost-Vaccum Leak?

The heat works fine other than the fact that it only blows through the defrost vent and the floor vents and is the same way for the A/C what would most likely cause his -a vacuum leak? How do I go about fixing this or how difficult is this is probably a better question
