Hey there guys & gals,
I have been on here a few times in the past just checking out some tech threads and I'm finally ready to start picking some of ya'lls brains on some enhancements for my 69. So I joined. I was born in 69 so my favorite MUSCLE car has always been the 1st gen. 69's. So, I finally got one about two years ago and had a large problem with a fuel line connector at the carb(P.O.S .edle) about a month in and it resulted in an engine fire that caused a little bit of damage to my baby. I've been in a insurance battle since then and didn't think it would be this drawn out but ya'll know how that goes I'm sure. Well, I'm sick and tired of not being able to drive it and started the mods back in Feb. So far I've rewired it w/ a MSD 6al, put on some Patriot angle plug 65cc aluminum heads ( any one else runnin' these?), some long tube 1-5/8" hedman headers to my 3"exhaust, a Crower solid lift cam,Comp roller rockers & springs, chromoly rods, double roller timing chain, changed the mono leafs to a custom built set of multi leaf stiffies, 2" drop srings in the front, and MT drag radials. I'll be posting some threads soon on what I'll need to mod next for a D1 procharger I recently purchased. I'll be sure to post some PICS too! Welcome to the forum. I'm a first gen lover also and hope to own one someday. Can't wait for the pic's and hope the insurance hurries the heck up.
