Be a little bit more specific in your question .......... not for sure what it is exactly you are wanting to know.

Well, it is like Pepsi and Coca Cola. In all of the years that I know of the firebird seem to have bigger engines and beefier suspensions. The Camaro was more of a luxury car, don't get me wrong, still kicks ass but, well, how do I say, more of a family car, where as the firebird is more for the strip. This is just my opinion you have to keep in mind.

Ask yourself: Is an S-10 a Sonoma? Is a Tempo a Topaz? Is a Cavalier a Sunfire? You should have your answer by now.

Well it pretty much goes like this. When a company finds the next best body, and general vehicle setup it sticks with it for a while, since it's what it "hot on the market". And most companies own more than one sub company. Like GM owning Buick, Chevy, GMC etc... So the frame and body styling stick with other cars, rather than re-engineer and design a whole new car. And then, rival companies, copy whoever has the hottest new style. It has been like that for decades, and will persist always.
