i have a 83 Z28 camaro that is supposed to have a cross-fire injected 305. But instead mine hase a carbed 350. and the person who owned it before me was a dummass. he didnt even have the vaccume advance hooked up. but now on to my question, when a lay on the throttle, my secondaries dont open up. i know that the vaccume is supposed to suck it closed when there is now power going to it, but then when i rev it, the lever gets un vaccumed, but the secondaries still dont open, also my down shift is held toghther with a paper clip right now. just so yo know, it is ROCHESTER QUADRAJET.

what i mean by ur exhaust butterfly is most likely ur only running on one header/exhaust manifold. my other one had no vacume to open the second one up so i was runnin slow and ****ty untul i welded it open.

its not stuck, i can push it and it opens just fine, it has to be someting to do with the vaccume or something, i might just take the rod out and see if it lets it open naturaly.

it seems like welding it open would be bad for it, maybe in the winter or something, do you race yours, cause i just use it for getting round right now.
