Seriously, that is about the stupidest thing I have ever read.  You all (not every one, speaking generally here, turbo) use it, but dont understand.  I read this (because I am actually educated) 'pwn' or pwnd or what ever other variation of this garbage is and can only think of chess.  the pawn in chess has the ability to become the most powerfull piece on the board.  All it has to do is make it to the other side and ...poof.... it can be any piece it wants.
 
So, I will proudly be called pawned. or pwned. or whatever lazy way its typed out. because I understand what it can become if used properly by someone who actually knows what they are doing.

pwn is a variation of owned from counterstrike
except with a pistol
when you run out of ammo for your regular gun and kill someone with the pistol
pistol-owned = pwnd, pwnt, pwned....
so its like owning soemone but worse.

but yeah spec. most people think its a typo but im pretty sure its originally from counter strike.

it is. it was from kids that played video games online. they'd try to type "owned" in really quick between spawning, and theyd do it so fast theyd mistaken the P key for the O key.
