Hey there! Tabitha from Charleston, SC here!  Hubby just gave this '79 Berlinetta to me last night as an early birthday present! WOOOOHOOOOO!  So, now, instead of sinking my money into my '07 TBSS, I've got a new toy to play with!  I thought I'd hop on here and see what's happening in the Camaro world!  She's in awesome shape, so first things first...375-400 HP is a must!  New tranny,  headers, air shocks, and new dual exhaust, then she'll be ready to ride!  Body and paint will come after the good stuff is paid off!!!

Very nice, in much better condition than the 1980 RS I just got.  Man I wish my girlfriend would get into cars, a man can dream can't he? lol  Would love to see some interior shots or engine shots if ya have any.

My husband sometimes wishes I WASN'T so much into cars!  Don't have any engine pics...it's not a pretty sight!  She runs, but she's limping the whole way! Do have some other shots though, one of interior.

very nice, are you going to restore to original? or performance and customize?  Your cars interior and exterior look much better than mine, I have rust through the doors:(.  What engine does it have?

Thanks...going with performance.  She's got a 350.  Sorry to hear about your rust.  Mine has a little bit, but you pretty much have to look for it, nothing that can't be fixed.

I wish!  I think we're going to drop a 383 stroker in.  That's his suggestion anyway.  Don't want to have to wait until i save up $10-15k to get her going ya know...but, hey...that's why i need you guys! GUIDANCE!!

well 1980rs dose have a point the engines that came in those berlinettas were tough to kill as you said still limping along 30 years later but wernt so great for making power so a swap will likey be in order however you can go real big but a 383 stroker would do the job

I was thinking about it, but have decided to go with a turbo 350 with a shift kit.  Not as much work for the hubby.

He told me last night after doing some mods on my Trailblazer SS that I need to learn how to turn wrenches.  I'd love to!  LOL
