If u want a v8 and you don't have a car yet, go ahead and get a v8 from the start. By the time you get all the parts for a v6 to v8 swap it will cost you more than getting a v8 car. Changing a 3.4 v6 for 3.8 v6 is really not worth the effort and just as much work as swapping for a v8.

its not that bad all u realy need is mounts, trans cross member, drive shaft rear end and pretty much new suspension (or get thwn out of a junk yard like me) u will save alot of money buying a used engine and rebuilding it yourself. and if i were you i would go with carb but thats me.

I'd just spend the extra money and get a z28. you'll spend a lot more getting a cheap v6 car and doing a swap than if you just bought one with a stock v8. Plus z28's have better suspension, usually rear discs and posi, plus bigger swaybars and a quicker ratio steering box. Plus it will probably run better too since it's all stock and intended to work with everything. A v6 car will usually have a lower geared rear end. And you'll need a new/ different transmission. I've done engine swaps and although they can be fun, if you can get a car with the engine you want, just get it. Just my 3 cents.
