Newbie question/ RS headlight doors

Hi you'll,
I'm a newbie the the forum and to Camaro ownership. I have a 68 full custom convertable 502 injected RS. The problem is in the build there was not enough room for the headlight doors to open fully ( i didn't do the build , I just bought the car). The car has the electric motors on the doors but are not electrically connected yet. Do the motors have adjustable stops or cut offs or am I somehow going to find a way to allow them to open to the manufactures settings on the motors. I would appreciate any and all help.
