Well I'm 19. My dad has had a 1970 RS Camaro since I was born, never really cared about it until I hit about 12 or 13. From then on all I could think about was "when am I gonna get to drive it." I really want to get it looking and running condition.

Well to tell you the truth, I really don't know as much about it as I would like to know. I know it's a RS. Since my dad has had it, it's gotten the engine pulled out 2 times. I can now see that whoever pulled it out just did it for the money, cause they really didn't do anything good to it. I recently posted a thread on what kind of headers are best for the motor it has. I've been told that it has a 327 engine in it, a 350 by others.... honestly I'm completely lost on it..... is there someway to actually find out what kind of motor it is.... and thanx for the welcome, this is the first forum I've joined and it seems like everyone here is like a big family... it's pretty cool....

Take a look at the block casting numbers. There are a few places to look.
The back of the block on the driver side there should be some numbers. It will be right on the flat area of the block where it bolts to the tranny. Also on the passenger side of the front of the block where there is a flat spot in front of the head is another place. Then pull a head and get the numbers off those. We will figure out what that bad boy is one way or another.

well for now i'm repairing the old one.... i guess if it continues giving me trouble, i'll put in a new 350 in it when i get the money for it....

Well, I finally got my car back from the shop...... It's running good, but the engine sputters when I turn it off... what could it be?
