What's up fellow Hot Rodders!?
I'm new here. I have a 69Z that is just beging me to take her out! I will be doing my exhaust here in a week or two. I want something with that hollow, alluminum can, I will kick your @ss sound. Not overly loud, but sure as hell not quiet! My question is, what set up would make that happen? For now there is just a plan Jane 350 under the hood. The exhaust that is on there now is annoying. A pair of puple hornets, along with that rappy/poppy sound to it... Hate it! Plus I needed to cut part of it off last year to fit the rears on. Any help or suggestions would be sweet!
Thanks,
Have a beer!

I love the sound of Corvette chambered side exhaust. That's what I have on mine. But, it has to be factory original '65-'67 units. I bought a couple of used sets off of ebay. Then I take them to the muffler shop and cut the pipes and the chrome tips off. (Then they are just straight thru 2 1/2 in chambered mufflers.) Then I have the muffler shop make extension pipes and weld them onto the headers. I buy the over the rear axle 2 1/2 in Flowmaster tailpipes to finish up. The chambered mufflers run along side the drive shaft and look pretty neat , while sounding real throaty.

Sounds like it would sound badass!
