starting with no key

I have an early 90's camaro that i want to part out but it was given to me by a friend who had lost the igntion key.....i just want to find out if the engine will run...whats the best way to get it started....i called a few locksmiths and they wanted 200 and up to make a key.....he said i could pull the lock clyinder out and bring it in but i dont know how and id perfer to not spend any money.....i just need to know what wires to jump or splice or whatever.....thanks

just pop ot the hole key assembley and buy a new one read the manual dude

i actually can start my car without the key(which is both good and bad). There must be something wrong with the lock cyclinder. W/E i just keep my doors locked. As for your problem u could hotwire it like they do in the movies :)

Wire it up like a racecar.

Buy a flip-toggle switch to turn the car on, and a push button ignition to start it.

if you have an hei dist. you can give constant power to your coil from your battery and then jump your starter wires to get it to turn over
