I have a 1993 camaro 3.4 L and recently have had problems with it starting all the time. Sometimes I can go to the store and be stuck there go home go back and it starts.. I recently replaced both the water pump, alternator and the battery. I know a little about cars and I know when these two go bad sooner or later the starter is bad because of the astranged running. When starting it, I heard a kind of clicking in around the glove compartment so I stuck my hand in there and wiggled wires and things and it starts. I have replaced the two relays in there thinking maybe that was the problem because if i held them when i started the car you could feel the contacts getting hit with juice. Well that wasnt it. Could the airbag computer in there cause the engine not to start? I today ripped out the starter to go and get one i figured might as well replace it. I am going to get it this weekend. Any ideas? I also hit the box in there gently with a rubber mallet and it started also. That box is the airbag computer control Please help me out Thanks all Tim

If it starts OK when you wiggle the wires, there is probably a loose or corroded connection near where you are touching, You need to do a good visual inspection & see what is going on. Bad connections can eventually cause fires, so it is bes to fix them ASAP.
