i wasa just lookin at my car idk sometimes i just sit there and look at it lol.....but when you look at it the air cleaner is actually up in the scoop....so a stock hood wouldnt fit on my car?(i want a cowl anyway but)...and i dont have like a higher intake or anything....is my motor weird or somthing?

if everything is stock ,i dont see why a stock hood wont work..what kind of breather do you have on it.you dont have a velocity stack on it do you

something on your motor is not stock, be it the air cleaner, carb, intake, or a spacer, but that is not a completely stock setup, I would guess prolly the aircleaner or a spacer

Do you have a Eldelbrok Performer RPM manifold? Sounds like it. If it’s stock there is no problem they sold the car that way. Eldelbrok sells a diamond shaped air cleaner only about 2in from the carb I had it before. You can always cut some of the metal from under the hood since you are not using the standard air cleaner.

it does have like a triangle air cleaner that is edelbrock and it ahs an edelbrock intake on it but i didnt think they were taller than stock...idk what edelbrock itnake it is i just kno its edelbrock...but its probably whatever is most common

I bet it's the performer rpm series I had the same problem. I changed the hood. It might be the torker series. Get the number and run it on Jegs

it fits under the hood i got cuz its got liek a z28 scoop on it....the PO cuz the hood and bolted on the scoop i guess for that reson..but it just confused me that even if i wanted one it wouldnt fit
