summer project

so if all goes well i should have my Pacesetter Mids, underdrive pulleys, and cutouts[before the cats] put in by the beginning of the summer (June).  So then I plan on starting myself on a nice sumemr project of putting in a Cam package...

What do you guys recommend with the Mids and something reasonably driveable [what with gas prices and all, im not complaining, but at the same time i dont want to get like 15 gallons to the mile or anything]?

or should i listen to specter and do gears before i get a cam?

i just dont know if i'd want to do the gears as a home job, but if you think getting a cam wit hthe stock 3.42s wouldnt be wise, then i could fork out the X amout of dollars and get 4.10s first
