supra vs z28

what one would win a stock 1992 supra, vs my stock 30th anv z28?

stock, turbo or n/a? taht kind of makes a difference

The turbo supra is rated at 232hp, so you have a big advantage. If it was a 93' he would kill you.

Off the line you would take him but once he builds up some speed and the turbo kicks in , he will over take you. Cut the distance down and it will be a close race. Give him room and its all him.

The MK3 supra isnt the moster its little brother is but can still be a killer. If he's all stock then you should be able to take him. If he's running a turbo back exhaust , FMIC, and has turned up the boost he could be a match for even a LS1. If he's running any thing more than that cams, reflash, turbo upgrade then odds are he will kill you. GOOD LUCK I HOPE YOU KILL THE KING OF RICERS LOL.JK.

I wouldn't really call a Supra a ricer.  Normally when I hear people refer to "ricers" they're talking about the little 4 bangers that are all show and no balls.  There are certain imports that actually have the bite behind their bark, and while they may not be firing on 8, I still think they're bad as hell.  Hell, I almost sold my 78 Z28 for a late 80's Supra that had been converted to a twin turbo setup.

is it completely stock? cuz a supra can make close to 400 horse, with jus boost limitor off, and a new boost controller.         supra, are only import thats a match for a american muscle =P.....    and, u know, he could of also thrown a turbo off a r34 onto it.   and u'd never know, and that turbo can do 18PSI i beleave.

oh, and if it IS stock. you should own it even in top end. they make rated horse when turbo is fully kicked in, jus make sure u race from a dig, they may not be smart enough to bounce of rev limitor.

i would put my money on the supra off the line, but at a quarter of a mile i would probably put it on the camaro 1/8th of mile the supra
 
and what kinda of engine and transmission in the camaro?
the lt1 o Lt4? and is it the stock POS transmission?

This is only a MK3 with a 1JZ  not a the latter modle with the 2JZ. It would be hard for this car to make 400 HP with out spending some time and money and would reqire more than just turning up the boost. Upgraded turbo, Full exhaust, FMIC, Fuel managment, injecters, cams, and a lot of boost might get you up near that mark but it would be a push.
The R32s turbo isnt much bigger if any than the stock supra. And for being the only inport to hang with muscle what about the EVO, STI, both low 13 cars and what about the 3rd gen RX7.

LOL i know this thats why i said JK. The supra is a great car. twin turbo 24 valve twin cam inline six. Whats not to love. The car can gain power easy and is a blast to drive. Its a little on the heavy side but it more than makes up for it. Even the single turbo like the one we are talking about somting like 235BHP.

If there is one japanese car i would buy again its a 93+ supra for sure. I made well over 775 whp with very little upgrades. Here is the link for some major power that the camaro world would even drool over.

forgot bout RX7, and i hate EVOs lol.

and STI's are wicked too. but even though there stock, they come stock with most of the tuning stuff already done.

I dont think changing out to a single turbo, injecters, a full ECU, full Exhaust, FMIC, Fuel rails, and cams are just a little. And thats only to support up to 750 HP not to produce it. The kit makes a 570 HP  on pump gas. For that price i can build one hell of a LS series engine.
