Ok so yesterday Im in the left turn lane on a hill, and when i go to get started, I give it a lil extra just to enjoy myself around the turn, well, I dont get going as quickly as it seems I should have. I dont think I was spinning, because the roads were fairly dry, and there was a little bit of snow blowing around, but nothing substantial. Anyway the rpms are up and Im not going as quickly as i think i should, but it grabs good in second and third, but then again in fourth, it felt like the car wasnt accelerating as quickly as usual. Although I dont pay alot of attention to how high the rpms are at every speed it seemed like they were to high for how fast I was going. The only thing I can think of would be the transmission/clutch is slipping. Shouldnt that produce a pretty funky smell though? And it only happened that once, and hasnt happened again, regardless of how much throttle I give it.
Either way Certified Transmission does free diagnostic so I made an appointment, just to be sure. Anyone else ever have this happen?

could be clutch burning, especially on a hill with smell

Yeah, it was the clutch, havent got it back yet but the guys there said its pretty bad, not to the point of rivets on the flywheel, but that I had maybe a week or two left if I drove nice. Oh well, I get it back tommorow, although bill wont be fun..... 820$ FTMFL
