I just got my drive shaft shortened 3 inches to fit with the 700R4 transmission. I got it home and started putting it back on when I found out that my drive shaft doesnt fit with the 700R4 (the length is right but they dont connect right). The 73' camaro did have a muncie m20 in it (the guy told me it had a 3/4" countershaft, whatever that means).

If I took the end spline piece from the muncie would it spline and fit in the 700R4? The transmission is at my school and I cant check if it does right now.

If not, what else could I do?

not sure how it works, but can you change just the front part of the driveshaft? its going to be a different amount of splines. and why did you go with a 700r4 and no a th350 or th400?

the 700R4 was already attached to the 350 TBI that im putting in. im not sure if  you can change the end of the drive shaft. from what I remember, it was welded.

this is the first serious problem that I have ran into, everything else has been pretty simple

also, would the drive shaft for an automatic 73' camaro be shorter then a manual?
