Alright, ever since I bought my car, the driver's side daytime running light has been dimmer than the passenger side. It wasn't a problem for me really until the bulbs started blowing out every 3 months or so. I change the bulbs, and the socket looks pretty well charred. The lens fills with water sometimes too, but I dont think that causes the dim appearance, because I see a lot of camaros with this same problem on the roads... I'm going to buy a socket from a guy off ebay, so do yall think that will fix the problem if I take out the old one and splice the new one in? Thanks

that could definately be a problem but usually there is something further. I'd double check the resistance at the switch.

It appears more like a water leak is shorting it out.

Yeah water should not be getting inside the lens. There should be a seal on the socket. Maybe there is a crack in the lens. Take it out and fill it with water and watch for where it pours out. You can also get those sockets at autozone.

yea that made sense to me too but it takes a while for the bulbs to blow; the lens fills up with water after i change it as soon as it rains; I'm just goin to replace all the stuff and see what happens; not a huge investment anyway to take care of somehting i find very annoying..thanks for the replies
