Tyson or Liddell

I watch boxing and my brother watches Cage fighting.

We were arguing just afew minutes ago and i said tyson would whoop liddells a$$ but my brother thinks different.
Tyson's bigger, stronger and just as quick!

So hew do u think tyson in his prime or liddell.

I dunno, maybe if Tyson was in his prime, like, pre-ear eating days. But I don't really watch enough of either sport to make a good judgement.

Iwatched some old clips of Tyson the other day and wow, he basically did not have any competition back then....he would knock a guy out after a couple rounds and not even be sweating or out of breath, he was def. a freak for his time but when you mix in MMA I have absolutely no idea who would win, Liddel has one hell of a punch too...I think if Liddel gets Tyson on the ground its over, but if Tyson connects some good combos, I think he could rattle Liddel enough to knock him out with a good punch.

I would say tyson....he can take one hell of a hit, and hits about 10 times harder then ufc guys.

Holyfeild shouldent of been headbutting tyson and his ear would still be like it was.

will they be boxing or is it an MMA match?  in mma usually wrestlers and kickboxers do well while guys with boxing backgrounds or street brawling get rocked

And yes one of both I know that liddell couldent hang with tyson on boxing but if tyson lands a few he could have the victory in mma

the reason its boxing/mma is that any time someone starts getting up on kimbo the rules suddenly switch to boxing and that fat pimp looking fellow comes in hollering and raisin hell until they get them separated.   there is a reason kimbo isnt in the UFC yet.  hes a big guy but ive seen guys with half the talent of many of the MMA fighters outfight kimbo

Kimbo is 7-1 in the streets and 3-0 in mma. He's not the best but hes good.

his street fights were all either fixed or interfered with (unless he was easily winning).  even the one where that big white dude finally beat him, kimbo's boys were jumpin in every 2 minutes to complain about something.  it was ghey!!
 
and hes in an MMA league, but not UFC.  the only thing hes got going for him is that at his weight class all the other guys are pretty much just brawlers too

okay...first off tyson would get owned, even in his prime.  unless of course he had time to train for an mma fight.  you have to remember, tyson was trained to dodge HANDS, not feet and knees.  liddell would throw a kick at him and it'd be over.  in a boxing match though, no contest.  tyson would destroy liddell cause that's what he was trained to do.  and to whoever said tyson had no opponents, that's kind of crap.  what people remember is him knocking people out, but what they dont' remember his him breaking ribs before that.  after tyson lost his main trainer and got hooked up with don king, he became strictly a headhunter.  i believe he had 3 fights after losing his trainer, first two were early knockouts, last one he laid on the ground in a daze from someone who wasn't half the boxer he was

i was actually referring to his street fights, but damn, just watched the thompson fight on youtube..... kimbo was definitly down, in fact the fight should have been called in the 2nd round when kimbo stopped defending himself while thompson just elbowed the crap out of his head.

Kimbo is a horrible fighter, any fighter with a good wrestling and submission would tear kimbo up...but he's kinda pulling in ratings so why would they do that?  They're hand picking his opponents...as for Tyson/Liddell, in there own fighting style but Liddell is a gifted wrestler and tyson wouldn't handle the ground game...Tyson was gonna fight bob sapp awhile ago but it was dumb

Its actually a silly question.  They dont really compare. 
 
Courture (for example) has a boxing background, watch some of his fights, you can see the boxing come out in the sweeps.  He is even older than me and still skull drag just about anyone - even guys much bigger than he like sylvia.  Yet still have a dificult time with well trained fighters, like Liddell.  So, for me, its a silly question.  The two guys would never fight in the first place.  they each have thier strong points and tactical advantages over the other.
 
There would have to be special rules, mikeypoo would adopt the sissiefied kimbo rules.  So we will never know.

all lidell does is box and he can avoid some take downs....thats all he does. anyone ever watch his fights? his knockout punch or rock punch are always while hes backing up. he just plays this retarded waiting game until someone gets over anxious and rushes lidell and gets knocked out. thats how all of hits fights end. yes it is smart because he plays the waiting game, very good patients skills.
 
but if you havent noticed people like quinton jackson doesnt stop his onslaught of punches but still stay within his own and doesnt reach out making stupid mistakes. people like jackson and tyson are very good at "their" game and dont waste their time trying to adapt to the situation unless they are getting beat. they set the pace and they control the action. thats why quinton just wins all the time now and if you ask me....tyson would whoop lidells ass.
 
also once wanderlei silva adjusts and starts playing his game again and not pussy footing around trying to be tenative, he'll start winning again.
