i hope your kidding...but 250 is pretty good, i worked on one of my friends beetles a few months ago and just to get to the radiator i had to take the front bumper cover off, they really pack it in there

think about it this way, 0-60 5 seconds flat, which is faster than the Golf R32, and it tops out at nearly 157. pretty good for a Beetle
ok but how much does it cost ? does it have turbo ?

cost $38,000, and no, it didn't have a turbo. it's basically the Golf R32 under the skin, except the motor is built up a little more
its just like the nisan maxima, the top of the line model puts out 265 and is a dohc engine, but it costs around 26/28 i think

the new Altima coupe has 270. that thing is quick for a front drive
i just dont see how they can get it to hook up with that much power on a fwd

well the only trans choices are a 6 speed manual and a cvt auto. the cvt is going to try hard not to let the tires spin, and the stick you can modulate the clutch to get the best launch
why are they using 6 speeds on cars like that, maybe a 4 or 5 would work, i know this kid at my work has a new eclispse and its a 6 speed and hes like "i havent even got it to shift into 6 yet" and im like cause it cant go that fast

with that motor it actually gets up and goes pretty good. around 5.9 secs to 60. and 6th is more for highway cruising than anything else
