With GM I always thought that if the car had Daytime Running Lights and a power lock system that the lock/unlock kicked the head and tails on. If it didn't have DRL, no lights would flash.

My 95 baby S-10 Blazer doesn't kick the lights. But a friends 95 S-10 Pickup with DRL did......

Does the owner's manual say anything about it?

Dude, that's weird.  Sorry if you checked this reply hoping I'd give you some information.  But that just seems weird to me.

I don't really care that my lights don't blink.  Although, sometimes I'll be sitting in a movie and all the sudden think, "aw CRAP, did I lock my car?"  So I worry about it during the rest of the movie and rush out to my car at the end (and it's always locked).  Maybe if the lights blinked I'd have an easier time remembering.
