bogs/stalls with quick revs

hey all, i have a 92 rs 3.1 i have replaced the intake gaskets valve cover gaskets, cap rotor,plugs,wires,pcv valve,oil change, fuel filter, and prolly a few more things. i did a compression check and all came back good 150 across the board except one that read 148. BUT the motor wasnt "hot" it was warm and i did it takeing one plug out at a time not all out while i was doing it. i also checked the timing and it was off, it was at ^ degrees. the motor is still smoking but im thinking its the exhaust manifold gaskets its the only thing left, and the smoke is comming from the engine bay. my main issue is the car will run fine cold. and even warm but a quick throttle blip or trying to drive it it wants to stall. any one have an idea? i do think the plugs i bought were at.038 and i need to take them back out and gap to .045... and at that point i will do another compression check when hot. im really starting to get mad and almost gunna call it quits and pull it out and jus go with a 350 thats carb'd (unless there is a simle answer to having EFI again) thanks chris

May want to take a look at the IAC valve and the TPS.

is the check engine like working, and is it on? is the air filter in good condition? im thinking that the 3.1 uses a mass air flow sensor, which if its unplugged/dirty/broken, can cause a bit of hesitation until the computer can guess what to do. clean it with some electrical parts cleaner and see what you get

you also said it smokes. where is it smoking from, and what color is it?

air filter is good, check engine light works and no it is not on.. if it has a mass airflow sensor it in the air box or befor... kinda stupid i dont think it does. the tps sensor could be making it idel a tad high how it is. same with the iac but would it effect me when i rev or try to drive, also smoke is comming from BOTH sides of the motor. kinda down by the exhaust manifolds. and its white ish?? smellsmore like gas then exhaust to me but not my friend but the overwhelming smell of exhaust is allready abundant with the car running inseid the garage even with the door open lol
