Everyone and their brother will tell you that you can't paint aluminum wheels, but I'm here to tell you that you can. Take em off the car, its alot easier... sand em with a scuff pad (you can get em at wal-mart or any parts store.. its the marroon or green pads in the paint section).. scuff em up really good.. wash em really good.. let em dry really good, preferably in the sun... then mask off the tires and apply light coats... I found that the Rustoleum paint works best. I've never painted wheels black though.. I've always used the aluminum color and my wheels looked brand new when I finished. Good luck Bro..
