Looks good but for that money why not buy a Z28 with an LT1 or even an LS1 and build that? Buying it, shipping it and installing it will cost you about the same over all as it would to just mod a car with a V8 already. If you sell your V6 take that money buy a V8 car and do some bolt ons here and there and some internal work and youll be pushing close to that if not 400.

Not to mention that running a distributor is going to be a pain since the engine sits so far back.

I keep going back and forth on wheter I want to go with a crate engine swap or get a new z28 but problem is I'm very picky about how I want my car to look and lucky for me the v6 I got was perfect(just needs my racing stripes and I'm set)and it'd be pretty hard to find a z28 how I want it without having to pour a lot of money into cosmetics.  Also, quite frankly(since Camille-name of my camaro is my first nice car)I am quite attached to my current car.
Lastly I'd end up with an original machine.

I dunno.  How hard would it be to run the distributor?  How much farther back does she sit than the 3.4 SFI?  I'm still kinda new to this and learning as I go.

im thinking about doing a motor swap but after i do bolt ons.. in your case you might want to think about getting a Z28 for a respectable price and using the 6 as a DD. Im gonna save up for a Golan 383 Stroker... but do bolt ons first and when i feel im ready and i have the money im gonna get the engine

DD?  Down deposit?  I might....I dunno it all depends on if I can find a Z28 that matches the look I'm going for.  Gotta be white and black...all of it.

yeah daily driver. But guys think of it this way... only the ENGINE costs 2-3 grand... you still have to take your old one out along with the v6 components and replace em with v8 components that will work with the engine... im guessing thats basically everything from the engine to the tailpipes.... then you have to program it... an engine swat from V6 to V8 is not as easy as a V8-v8 swap.. if i wanted to i could just have my current engine bored and save my self the install etc. hassle but my engine has high mileage and i like the thought of keeping my car because i too have ALOT of sentimental value in it.

Yea thats the deal with me, I have a LOT of love and sentiment in this car.  She's the first car I myself purchased and also the best car I've ever owned haha.  I really wanna go for it....I was gonna go for an LS2 but I found that instead haha

its good for the price/power. I personally want a 383 stroker. Another thing, i didnt know yearone sold parts for late generation cars... Idk if thats the same as an LT1.
