Nono, that's 0-60 mph...

I know, but that's still proof of bad tires and a horrible launch. A car that does a 1/4 mile in the 11's should have a 0-60 mph time in the high 3's or low 4's. Just goes to show how badass the ZL1 427 was.

60 mph.... oops.... off night for me
I do know that both my 555r's and the ET streets are both radials.   the one with the swoosh lines on the side (ur 2nd link) is the one that u will see on the street most often.  they are the worst in adverse weather out of the drag radials (nitto, bfg, MT) but best compound and dry weather traction.    the first link u showed is the tire that u can get in 15xOMGTHATSBIG.    its the one u fill ur wheel well with on a 9".    still technically street legal, but thats just a selling point, because it is classified as a slick, not a drag radial.    the radial one is the street tire.    i actually have 2 good friends that run those on the street

I know, you just said that it has to be a "radial" style of tire to be street legal.  I have a set of the E/T Street (non-radial) on my stock salad shooter wheels that I'm going to use for the track this season, but there's no way they're going on the street, that's a death trap if it starts raining...I wouldn't necessarily say that the DOT approved is a selling point for street use, it's more for race classes that require a DOT approved tire but they're track only cars sort of thing.  Either way, they're really really soft (they were deforming themselves from their weight alone when they were on the rack), I have yet to make a run, but I want to get skinnies for the front and see what she does.

i agree, I think were in violent agreement here.   while the ET Street non radials are techincally street legal i would never take them on the street either.   radials are usually much more street oriented.
