Hello any one who reads this I got a 1979 RS duh this car is new to me so i'm not sure of all the changes the previous owner made, well my problem is that when i'm driving my sering wheel feels lose and sometimes it tends to go to the right, i thought it could be the alignmet but i'm not too sure, the steering wheel was also changed from the original so I want to know why is that it feels so lose and gives me this problem. Can someone help me? PLZ

Its prolly that its not a stock steering wheel and they didnt put it on right how is it loose? like the play on the wheel or back and forth? Just took out my steering wheel in my 80 maybe they didnt put in the horn part which would also make it loose, does the horn work?

If your steering wheel can rock back and forth on the steering column, that's one thing. But it sounds more like you have slop in the front suspension. There's also a good chance there's slop in your steering box. Since you feel looseness in the wheel, and the car wanders on you, I would suspect things up front such as your tie rod ends, drag link, etc. are probably shot. Get someone inside the car to rock the wheel left and right, and look under the car and under the hood to see what's moving before the wheels start to turn. Have it looked at before the car decides to take a sudden turn on it's own.
