hi, im new to the camaroforums and had some questions while helping my brother, hes not much of a forum guy so i signed up to try to seek out help. he has a 91 camaro RS and is in the process of swapping in a carbed 350 form 73. from his searching he hasnt found anyone that has managed to do this yet. is there anyone on here that sucessfully did this? and is there any advice? I'm alwso wondering if anyone can post pics of the underside of a 3rd gen camaro with dual exhaust pipes, we are trying to determine the best way to run dual pipes for the v8 but the car had a single pipe from the factory and was v6. thank you for any help

look at the faq and you will see everything you need to do in order to swap from v-6 to v-8 and the dual exhaust thing is kind of hard to do on these cars but id focus on getting the car running first

^ i checked out the faqs, on some other forum someone said that no one ever swapped a 1st gen 350 into a 3rd gen camaro. i know everything will bolt up nicley as far as motor mounts, ps and other things, but i was told that everything woudl have to be rewired. i dont believe that for a second though

im doing exactly this right now, i have an 82 camaro.

it was originally a 4 cyl car, then someone along the lines converted it to manual and put an 8 cyl in it (im guessing tpi)

im in the process of puttin an all out engine im building into it with a powerglide.. its a 1973 camaro engine..

honestly tho, i plan to pretty much eliminate the whole harness except for the lights, signals, gauges  and wipers.

other then that, there will be nothing for harness left.

you wont have to rewire youll just have to remember what all the gage wires went to and hook them up to the new engine

All pre 87 350's ARE THE SAME! Then the only differences from 87 and up were center bolt valve covers, and one piece rear main seal, then as you get into the newer crap, that is completely different. Everything you need to know is in that FAQ.
